Know Two Ways Out

Every room should have two ways out. Practice your home escape plan with your family.

If your clothes catch fire, stop where you are, drop to the ground, and roll until the fire is out.

In an emergency, call 911. Know your address and stay calm when speaking to the dispatcher.

Download our fire safety activity book for coloring pages, worksheets, and simple lessons that help kids learn important safety tips in a fun way.

Ask a grown-up to help you find your smoke alarms, practice your escape plan, and choose a safe meeting spot outside.
