The Junior Fire Company gives motivated young individuals the opportunity to learn, train, and serve while preparing for future active volunteer membership.
The Junior Fire Company is a dedicated program designed for motivated young individuals between the ages of 14 and 17 who are interested in pursuing a future in the fire service and emergency medical services. This program provides a structured and supportive environment where participants can begin developing the skills, discipline, and knowledge required for a successful transition into active volunteer membership at age 18.
Through supervised, hands-on training and mentorship from experienced firefighters and EMS personnel, members of the Junior Company gain valuable exposure to emergency operations, safety practices, and teamwork. The program emphasizes responsibility, leadership, and a strong commitment to community service.
Who Can Join?
Applicants must be between the ages of 14 and 17 and have an interest in learning more about the fire service, EMS, teamwork, leadership, and community service.
In addition to building foundational fire and EMS skills, the Junior Company fosters camaraderie and a sense of pride in serving others. Participants are prepared not only for future roles within the department, but also for lifelong personal and professional growth, helping to ensure the continued strength and readiness of the organization.
